In the course of 2020, 10.3% of the Swiss population moved home. Young adults showed the highest propensity to change dwelling. Residents of single-family homes moved less than those living in multi-unit dwellings. The average moving distance was 12.5 km. These are just some of the findings of the new statistics on moving, compiled by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office.
